I have a profound love for the beauty and mystery of the earth and it’s inhabitants. After many years contemplating the figure I’ve recently found freedom and joy in exploring the abstract by using bright colours and organic shapes as well as experimenting with images of nature and animals. I enjoy teaching people all the skills I've learned. If you've always wanted to learn a craft, get in touch! I look forward to having fun and getting into the creative flow with you!
Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Holiday Vine Wreath is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Christy breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Crafts events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
Christy is a real local artist based in Calgary — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. 23 out of 23 guests who've painted with Christy say the instruction was amazing. Emma M. said: 'My Mom and I had a great time! Christy was really great and super friendly! The music in the pub was quite loud though.'
Bubblemania Café is a local venue in Calgary — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Crafts events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yes — we have 112 upcoming events in Calgary this month. You can view them here.
Your ticket to Holiday Vine Wreath includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Christy. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Bubblemania Café — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Bubblemania Café 's doors open at 4:00 PM, the event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Christy starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Crafts event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Crafts cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
