Witches, moons, and a sky full of stars rendered in deep black, blue, and bursts of purple and red — that's what you're walking away with tonight. Sunny has been running these events for nearly four years and 148 sessions, so the room moves well: the instructions are clear, the pace keeps everyone going, and nobody gets left behind staring at a blank canvas wondering what to do next. Casa Mexico in Kanata brings its own warmth to the night — a family-run spot rooted in traditional Mexican cuisine, which means the drinks and the atmosphere are doing real work before you've even picked up a brush. That painting, though, is the thing: moody and bold, the kind of piece that looks genuinely difficult and isn't.
The Casa Mexico experience of traditional Mexican cuisine in a family-run restaurant comes to Kanata! Coming from Acupulco, México to Canada in 2013, Marco and Sylvia dedicated their restaurant to their roots and culture - sharing with the public what traditional Mexican food is like. The new venue in Kanata has always been a priority to share with the community not only Mexican food, but Casa Mexico's fun family-friendly environment. Feel like you are in Mexico, here, with our family!

Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Starry Halloween Night is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Sunny breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Sunny is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Casa Mexico (Kanata), a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Sunny is a real local artist based in Kanata — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. Paint Nite artists complete our certification program before their first event. Across all Paint Nite events, 93% of guests say their instructor was amazing. Merle H. said: 'It was a fun evening for a first timer!'
Casa Mexico (Kanata) is a local venue in Kanata — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class. 74% of guests who've attended events at Casa Mexico (Kanata) rated the atmosphere highly.
Starry Halloween Night is a fall painting — rich autumn colors that capture the season beautifully.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Kanata, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Starry Halloween Night includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Sunny. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Casa Mexico (Kanata) — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Casa Mexico (Kanata)'s doors open at 12:00 PM, the event starts at 6:30 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:00 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Sunny starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
This event has reached our minimum attendance threshold and is guaranteed to run. If we ever have to cancel a guaranteed event, every ticket holder receives a full automatic refund plus a free ticket to a future Paint Nite — no questions asked. The only exception is weather or force majeure, where full refunds are issued but free tickets are not.
