A blue jay landing in fresh snow is one of those little moments that stops you cold — and somehow we're going to put that whole feeling onto a canvas tonight. The Snowy Blue Jay is such a satisfying painting to guide people through: that deep winter blue against white, the bare branches, the tiny flick of yellow that makes the whole thing pop. I'm Joyce, and getting to watch someone discover that they can actually paint something they're proud of — that's the whole reason I show up. We'll build it up together, step by step, and I'll meet you where you are because your experience level genuinely does not matter here. We're doing all of this at Amberwood Lounge and Eatery, which is a gorgeous room to spend a Thursday evening in. By the end, you'll have a piece that actually looks like winter caught mid-breath.

Joyce (Of Art!!) paces it carefully so nobody gets left behind — and Joyce (Of Art!!) will help you turn any mistake into something intentional. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Joyce (Of Art!!) is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at ALE - Amberwood Lounge & Eatery, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.

Your ticket to Snowy Blue Jay includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Joyce (Of Art!!). Drinks and food are ordered separately from ALE - Amberwood Lounge & Eatery — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
ALE - Amberwood Lounge & Eatery's doors open at 11:30 AM, the event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Joyce (Of Art!!) starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
