Okay, a Halloween night painting session at one of Ottawa's most beautiful venues — this one has a lot going for it before we even pick up a brush. "Starry Ghosts" is the painting we're working on, and it's exactly as good as it sounds: a moody, swirling night sky full of stars with those little ghost characters tucked into the scene — blues and purples and pops of red and yellow all layered together into something that actually looks stunning when it's done. I'm Joyce, and I've been running these nights for a long time, so I've got you completely covered no matter where you're starting from. We'll build it up together, step by step, in a room that genuinely sets a mood — Amberwood Lounge knows how to do atmosphere. Bring your people, grab a drink, and let yourself get lost in the painting for a couple hours.

Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.

Joyce (Of Art!!) is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at ALE - Amberwood Lounge & Eatery, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.

Your ticket to “Starry Ghosts” includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Joyce (Of Art!!). Drinks and food are ordered separately from ALE - Amberwood Lounge & Eatery — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
ALE - Amberwood Lounge & Eatery's doors open at 11:30 AM, the event starts at 7:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Joyce (Of Art!!) starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
