Autumn colors hit different when you're the one putting them on the canvas. Purple Fall is the painting for this one — deep purples and warm oranges moving through clouds, leaves, and trees — and it's the kind of image that looks way more impressive than it is to pull off. I'll meet you where you are, whether you've never picked up a brush or you just haven't in a while. We're set up in a big private room at Sports On Tap, so there's plenty of space, good lighting, and zero need to keep your voice down. By the end of the night, you'll have something genuinely worth hanging up.
We have a large private room for events with lots of space, lighting and you can make as much noise as you want.

Melanie enjoys encouraging people in their pursuit of creativity. Her training is in graphic design. She began painting outdoors in oils after moving to Saskatoon and also dabbles in watercolours. When she's not painting, she enjoys playing piano, gardening, swimming and taking care of her rabbits. Follow her on Facebook or Instagram to see upcoming events and PaintNite deals.
Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Purple Fall is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Melanie breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Melanie is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Sports On Tap, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Yes — Purple Fall is a Paint Nite favourite for girls nights in Saskatoon. Everyone paints their own canvas, so there's always something to laugh about at the end. If you're planning a bachelorette party or a larger group, private events of 10+ get reserved seating and a custom experience.
Melanie is a real local artist based in Saskatoon — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. 26 out of 36 guests who've painted with Melanie say the instruction was amazing. Bill L. said: 'A relaxed and supportive atmosphere is fostered. You can try to make an exact copy of the sample or produce a unique piece of art that is your personal variation on the theme of the evening. Come...'
Sports On Tap is a local venue in Saskatoon — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yes — we have 52 upcoming events in Saskatoon this month. You can view them here.
Purple Fall is a fall painting — rich autumn colors that capture the season beautifully.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Saskatoon, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Purple Fall includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Melanie. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Sports On Tap — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Sports On Tap's event starts at 6:30 PM. We suggest showing up by 6:00 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Melanie starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
