Emily Bixler

For as long as Emily Bixler can remember, the arts have held a special place in her heart. Whether it’s admiring the classics, or dreaming up her own funky creations, she loves it all. While her love for making her own masterpieces, which began in high school, was slightly delayed during her service in the Navy, she revisited it afterwards and obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Penn State University. While she has dabbled with various creative outlets, including pastels and drawing, her main artistic focus is abstract and impressionism painting, often using acrylics and alcohol ink. Her works have been shown throughout central Pennsylvania, as well as sold nationally through various online retailers. When Emily isn't pushing paint around on a canvas, she can be found spending time with her amazingly supportive husband and new baby girl. Her other passion in life, besides painting and her family, is her love of cats. If she were allowed, Emily would give in to her desire to be a crazy cat lady, but alas...her husband has limited the household to 3 cats.
