Kevin Haynes is a former high schools art teacher whose passion is helping people enhance their self-awareness and lives via his signature Sketch Therapy platform featuring a curriculum he refers to as The C.U.R.E. Method of Asking. The C.U.R.E. Method of Asking includes four engaging art projects that are arguably the most innovative artmaking tools for change available, on or offline. Anyone can utilize these resources to gain true self-realization by impressions made on one’s sub-conscious mind, via the imagination, expressed through his creative process, to effortlessly shape their future. The C.U.R.E. Method of Asking offers a rare and unique art course that can actually improve one’s life. Here’s how it works. The C.U.R.E. Method of Asking utilizes KyteSketch’s signature art therapy postcards featuring a 4.25X5.5-inch postal card with his signature double-matted surface. The collection consists of 20 real-world, semi-illustrations printed on a quality, high-end 120 lbs. card stock. KyteSketch postcards work best with the following media: pencils, colored pencils, markers, pastels, and inks. The C.U.R.E. Method of Asking & the 4 DISCIPLINES of SKETCH THERAPY include the following activities: Role Up Activity 1: Client begins with a role or responsibility or goal. Select a KyteSketch postcard. Find at least 3 images on the Internet that relates to their role/responsibility/goal. Client incorporates images to design a KyteSketch postcard that depicts their role/responsibility/goal. Dream Catchers Activity 2: Client writes down a dream that they have had. Record as many details as they can remember. How did they feel during their dream? Illustrate that dream on a KyteSketch postcard. Try to capture the mood. Mind State Activity 3: Client selects a KyteSketch postcard. Imagine how it would look if the design were collapsed, melted, exploded or in some other unusual state. Use one of those mental images to create a completely new image. The Message Activity 4: Client writes on the back of the KyteSketch postcard, a short message to someone whom they miss, or are frustrated with, or with whom they just want to share something. On the front of the KyteSketch postcard, the client can represent those feelings or message through their artwork. The C.U.R.E. Method of Asking is a 12 week workshop that meets once a week to discuss and practice art activity postcard techniques, learn art principles and elements required to produce, design and create personalized postcard art. Participants will also learn the basics of Perspective Drawing, Shading (Tone), Line, Stroke, Organizing Space, Dividing the Picture Plane and much, much more. Most importantly this workshop will provide clients with the tools necessary to become more present and in the moment.
