Initially I fell in love with art around age five or six, when my mom discovered that I could draw the Louisville cardinal bird. Intoxicated by the excitement that it gave other people to watch me re-create images was more than amusing for me. I found myself in countless art classes and after school programs were I learned to perfect my craft. I took a special liking to drawing portraits and became fascinated with the human figure which earned me many awards such as a scholastic key, works of art in the J.B. Speed Art museum and college scholarships. After many years of dedication to my love I found myself uninspired and lost which lead me to another career path working with at-risk children from broken homes. I found that I was passionate about helping individuals to be come self sufficient and feel wanted. As a counselor, I was able to explore my creativity in other ways and empower many people. When a friend of mine introduced me to Paintnite I thought it would be a great way to merge my two life long passions. The chance to encourage creativity and provide a friendly social environment where people of all walks of life could feel comfortable and enthused about art was like a dream come true. Working here has been a wonderful outlet and a beautiful getaway from everyday life. I'm falling back in love with art more and more everyday.
