Laura Monk

MUSIC! I am passionate about music and love sharing it with folks of all ages. It all started when my Mother began taking piano lessons while pregnant with me. Music became a part of who I am. I’ve been making music one way or another as far back as I can remember. Taking what I love and making it a career has been glorious. Performing and sharing many genres of music ranging from Pop, Renaissance Festivals, Folk, Americana, KID’S music and Standards has made me a well-rounded musician. I have spent my musical career singing and playing music throughout the Southeast in various formations. Rock/Americana/Folk bands as the lead singer and acoustic guitar player, Children’s Music as a Storyteller and Singer of Songs, and as a Sing A Long song leader in Senior communities and facilities. I am having fun making music and that transfers to those who are listening and participating. Everyone is invited to be a part of the show whether an adult event with added music trivia, a kids event with movement and rhythm or a senior show with voices joining in and people dancing.
