Sana Awar

Sana Awar and her family have resided in Jonesboro for the past 26 years. She has raised three lovely daughters. She is the loving wife of Dr. Ziad Awar. She has been involved in the arts through her daughters, as well as, pursuing her own artistic endeavors including sketching, painting, and sculpting. She has employed art as a craft to bring the family together at home. Art has also been an escape that allows her to stretch her creativity. She is very excited to be bringing this opportunity to share her passion with the great community of Jonesboro. She hopes that gathering around art can become an integral part of other’s lives, as it has been in hers. She hopes to bring a fun and light-hearted approach that caters to the beginners and experienced painters alike.

The world of art is especially important to Sana, and now more than ever, she wants to share it with others. It was not too long ago that she learned she would be facing the battle of cancer. With such jarring news, she looked for ways to keep her hopes up and mind occupied. She went to the canvas and passed hours in what she called therapeutic painting. It was an escape from reality that helped her through the journey. She hopes that by bringing to Jonesboro this venture, Paint Nite, many can join in her passion.
