Looking for fun things to do? Skip the work rush and join us for a sip and paint party! Guests are invited to dine as they paint with us on an 11x14 in canvas with a professional artist. Pro techniques will be provided while guests are also encouraged to venture and flow in a way that best fits their own creative style and curiosity. Imagine a date nite, gathering with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or maybe you need some self care. There isn't a shortage of fun at Paint Nite! We will be exploring a variety of pro techniques while guests are also invited to experiment with a variety of styles. Meanwhile, Hi Wire Brewing Company features 20 unique taps, draft cocktails, well drinks and a variety of other things to sip on. They also offer mocktails and other non alcoholic items too. Outside food is welcome! Feel free to grab some take out and bring it along. (Note: Food and beverages are not included with painting price.) Events run for two hours and will start at the scheduled hour. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to become acclimated and to place beverage orders before we get started with our group. Because it takes a committed number of guests to move forward with planning stages, registering in advance is required, and highly encouraged weeks in advance. When an event does not reach a certain amount of bookings 48 hours before the event start time, it will be cancelled. We have multiple specials featuring Early Bird price offers on the Facebook page, which happen ahead. We invite guests to follow us and take advantage of those offers. Some previous painting experiences would be beneficial though ambitious beginners are welcome too! Bring yourselves and a free spirit! The host will supply the rest. We are excited and will see you there! Cheers! www.paintnite.com Search Durham, NC Follow us on social media: https://www.facebook.com/PaintNiteDurham/

Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Moonlit Sunset is one of our more detailed paintings, which is exactly what makes it so satisfying to finish. Janice paces it carefully so nobody gets left behind — and Janice will help you turn any mistake into something intentional. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Janice is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Hi Wire Brewing Company Durham, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Janice is a real local artist based in Durham — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire. Paint Nite artists complete our certification program before their first event. Across all Paint Nite events, 93% of guests say their instructor was amazing. Lisa R. said: 'Good time with friends or even meet new people.'
Hi Wire Brewing Company Durham is a local venue in Durham — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Durham, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Moonlit Sunset includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Janice. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Hi Wire Brewing Company Durham — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
This event runs approximately 2 hours. Doors open at 2:30 PM — we recommend arriving 15 minutes early to get settled and order your first drink before Janice starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
