"A Crow, half-dead with thirst, came upon a Pitcher which had once been full of water; but when the Crow put its beak into the mouth of the Pitcher he found that only very little water was left in it. He tried, and he tried, but at last had to give up in despair. Then a thought came to him, and he took a pebble and dropped it into the Pitcher. Then he took another pebble..." -Aesop's Fable A metaphor on the misconception of the ability to get a 'real' cocktail in Utah. The Crow aims to provide the community with an 'old school' watering hole where the staff is your friend and the menus suites your need. We'll be serving up traditional bar and comfort food from open to close and cocktails that will suite anybody's pallet. We are now open! We offer plenty of parking in the rear of the building or in front on the street. Check out their website: www.thecrowslc.com Menu: http://www.thecrowslc.com/menu/menu/

Originally from Connecticut, Grace spent most of her life in New England. Briefly studying interior design at University of New Haven before transferring to Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting. After graduation Grace moved across the country with her husband to the beautiful state of Utah. Here she really began her love affair with the Southwest landscapes. Painting from life and her imagination, Grace’s paintings are filled with bright colors and lively organic shapes. In an effort to capture the beauty of her surroundings Grace spends her time outdoors plein air painting, drawing most of her inspiration from the world around her. Her sensitive nature inspires a brush moved by the pure joy of painting, creating uniquely imaginative landscapes. When Grace isn’t snuggling on the couch binge watching shows with her husband and dog, she enjoys hiking, running, reading, gardening, and painting.
Questions about what to expect, what’s included, and how it all works.
Yes. Silent Waters is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Grace breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Grace is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Crow and the Pitcher, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.
Grace is a real local artist based in Murray — not a franchise employee or a corporate hire.
Crow and the Pitcher is a local venue in Murray — a real local spot, not a dedicated painting studio. Paint Nite events happen at places like this by design — venues with character, regulars, and a bar. It can get lively. That's what makes it a night out rather than a class.
Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Murray , you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Silent Waters includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Grace. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Crow and the Pitcher — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
This event runs approximately 2 hours. Doors open at 2:00 PM — we recommend arriving 15 minutes early to get settled and order your first drink before Grace starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
