The building is beautiful. Lots of halls. The event we went to was underwhelming. Not like the photos posted at all. We debated about getting something to eat at the deserted canteen but the stuff looked like it had been sitting there a long time, not that there was anyone we could see actually working there. Only the second time being to this convention center since it opened. So twice in 14 years.
Went to beerfest at the EY Centre, it was an unusual night, lots of paid parking available right out front. In this cashless world the event was cash or use a QR code to buy tokens, after you click through at least a dozen screens… Luckily Andrew who was great BtW was at this ticket table and helped me or I might have considered leaving, not a great start. The lighting is horrendous 🤦🏼♀️lots of fabulous vendors showcasing their delicious food and drinks. The food seemed extremely expensive for the portions you were getting, next time I will eat before I go and only buy drink tokens. Could have used a bit of ambiance, very much felt like a airplane hanger with tables, lots of people were out, great people watching, not sure why there were no photo areas or more interactive experiences to make the night a little more memorable. I might go again if there is nothing else going on.
Best Convention/Events Centre for the Capital Region being so close to the Airport! And with great Transit connections! Always a pleasure attending many Trade Shows for my businesses over the last 10 years! Great parking, food stands and always clean bathrooms and common areas!👏👊
