Ordered Chicken Oscar, Street Tacos, Pan Seared Halibut, Pork Button Ribs and Beef Poutine. Chicken Oscar: The chicken breast was the juiciest and most tender I've had, but the texture seemed off. It was rubbery/squeaky and very smooth throughout like a hot dog or squid... makes me question if it's formed chicken ☹️ The menu makes it sound like the chicken oscar comes with more... but it came with a single shrimp. Beef Poutine: We got it without aioli and peppercorn gravy and got regular gravy instead. The wine in the gravy was too overpowering. Not the best poutine. Pork Button Ribs: Unfortunately it was way too salty. Pan Seared Halibut: The halibut was quite dry but the flavour was fine. Ended up getting 50% off after telling the waitress (which we didn't ask for and she insisted on), which was very kind. Street Tacos with Cajun Shrimp: They had a good amount of fillings that tasted nice. The salad was good as well. The waitress was very friendly, accommodating and made the experience amazing. There was not a long wait for food. Prices were reasonable. Very nice atmosphere and seating with dim lighting. For some reason it smells strongly as gas as soon as you walk in which is unpleasant.
Was not overly impressed, my Steak only had like 6-8 small pieces of mushrooms, there was no onion ring on it, and for a 10oz steak it had 4-5oz of fat and grissle, the fries were cold, the salmon was upside down im thinking so it didn't dry out under the heat lamp, the brussle sprouts were over cooked and dry and it continued with my dessert Baileys Brule, the ramikin it is served in was barely half full. They did have both of the little confence rooms booked and I think we all ordered at the same time, and we didn't want to cause any issues, but still this was the worst food experience I have had at the Mill
This place always delivers on great service, delicious food and a cool dining atmosphere. I've been here a dozen times in the last couple years. On this trip I had the I Can't Decide dish with steak, ribs, garlic prawns, baked beans, succotash and mashed potatoes with soup on the side. Everything was delicious.
