About The Good Companions Seniors' Centre
The Good Companions, a non-profit multi-service seniors’ centre, provides opportunities for individuals to participate in social, recreational, educational and volunteer activities and benefit from social and health services. Our mission is to promote and support the well-being, independence and zest for living of seniors and adults with physical disabilities in the greater Ottawa area through providing a congenial, stimulating, visible, accessible, safe and supportive centre, physical facilities and programs, and through providing services to seniors in their own homes.
The Centre’s main priorities are social integration, affordability and accessibility. We provide meals and refreshments as well as health services including wellness and social programs/services. Special programs and volunteer assistance are also made available for frail or disabled seniors.
Community Support Services are provided to seniors and adults with physical disabilities living in Centretown and North-East Ottawa, with or without membership to The Good Companions. These services/members programs include information and referral, friendly visiting, home help, telephone assurance, grocery and shopping bus, home maintenance, transportation (escort) to essential services and snow removal.

What Guests Are Saying
The Centre openly welcomes its members to wonderful community based activities- from exercise classes and individual programmes to special interest courses to healthy affordable meals. It is a volunteer driven, staff supported group. I have participated and volunteered for four years. Great people, great fun, great atmosphere. Thank you.
I visit regularly with my mom and enjoy the services offered. This visit was for a pride bbq and the entertainment was very enjoyable - The Queertets!
I'm so thankful to be living in Ottawa and being a member of this wonderful organization. They provide help to seniors who are in need of services such as transportation, grocery shopping, activities, exercise programs , social gatherings and many more. Because of them, I am able to remain in my home. This Thanksgiving is the best time to thank the whole team and let them know how grateful I am♥️
