What Guests Are Saying
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Pickle Barrel! I ordered the salmon dinner paired with a glass of wine, and everything was exceptional from start to finish. The salmon was perfectly cooked—flavorful, tender, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they care about quality. The cheesecake was the 👌 best! What truly made the experience stand out was the service. Joyce was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely warm. She made sure everything was just right and added a personal touch that made the meal even more enjoyable. Great food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service—I’ll definitely be coming back.
I decided to try Pickle Barrel at Yonge and Eglinton. When I arrived, there was no hostess at the front to seat guests, so I walked in and let one of the servers know I was there. I ordered the Surf and Turf, expecting the lobster to be a decent size and freshly prepared. Unfortunately, it looked buttery but dry, as you can see in the photo. I also requested my steak to be cooked medium, but it was served medium-well instead. Even the mashed potatoes were dry. The food wasn't terrible taste-wise, but I've definitely had much better. I considered complaining about the meal, but it didn't seem worth the hassle. I was hungry and exhausted after work, so I ended up eating everything. Still, I couldn't help but wonder whether the meal was really worth the price I paid.
We had Eugene as our server at the yonge and eglinton location. Eugene was amazing very friendly and professional and very attentive and always made sure we were taken care of especially with 3 kids. Food was so delicious too! The lemon pesto chicken linguine was 10/10 a must order!! Thank you Eugene for your amazing service and we hope to see you soon!
