Visited on Sunday and tried one savory and one sweet waffle. Overall a really pleasant experience with warm and friendly service. The waffles were crispy and fragrant. The savory one came with breadcrumb-coated fried chicken that was crispy without being greasy, paired nicely with their special sauce. The eggs were cooked exactly to the doneness we requested, which was a nice touch. The waffle combinations on the menu also felt creative and refreshing compared to typical brunch spots. Definitely worth trying 👍
I went for dinner and went back the next morning for breakfast! I live right by this place and have been patiently waiting for it to open. It does not disappoint! I ordered the PB&J smash burger and the server misheard and brought me the bacon smash so i just asked for the peanut butter and bacon jam on the side and the burger was delish! My boyfriend tried the buffalo chicken burger and found the chicken juicy and fried well. Both entrees came with one free dip (other than ketchup) as well! I got the garlic aoili and bf got the chipotle. Both delish! This morning I tried the creole french toast and it was outstanding! Very filling but really great flavour and the french toast tasted like a fried donut 😝 My boyfriend is dairy free and they were able to accommodate with a dairy free smoothie and dairy free french toast. We also ordered the mimosa flight which had some unique options. The service was great and we really enjoyed their heated covered patio. This place is dangerous and there are a lot of other things i’d love to try! I noticed a lot of tables ordered the breakfast platter which came out on a tiered stand which was super interesting.
My wife and I wanted to give a new spot a try, and tried out Crave. Now full disclosure, I think they were short staffed tonight on a Saturday as only two people were staffed on the restaurant floor. Both were very friendly but with a pretty good sized amount of customers it would be very hard and I don’t know if kitchen staff was understaffed tonight too For the appetizer, we ordered the nachos on happy hour but for $12 the portion was quite small. The chipotle aioli they used was tasty, but ya just very underwhelming portion I ordered the Canadian exploding potatoes which were baked potatoes loaded with lots of toppings. It was decent but more of an appetizer vs main course. My wife ordered the chicken & waffles. The chicken was well cooked and tasty, but the waffle wasn’t very good even with syrup and didn’t finish They might be more well known for their burgers, so perhaps that’s a miss on my end to not try that. Final bill was $70ish, and ya we had to go elsewhere to get some extra snacks afterwards. Interesting concept & place, but don’t know if I’ll be back nor can I personally recommend but again caveat being they were pretty understaffed so maybe when they have full crew they’d be better for others to try insyead
