2 of us tried 2 different pizzas. We tried the Electric Avenue. It was good, but not better than the sum of its parts. In other words, it fell short of expectations but was good. The Wild pepperoni with the thicker crust for $2 extra was EXCELLENT!!! A little more cheese up to the crust would have made it a 10/10 but it was a solid 9. Service was great. It was quiet there at lunchtime on a Wednesday although it started to get busy with high school students shortly after 1pm.
Finally tried Dough Box at the Woodbridge location the other day with some friends and I was very blown away and surprised at the quality of the food, service as well as the overall vibes of the restaurant itself. It is a very good mix of fast Italian cuisine, but high quality dishes at the same time. We shared The Rosé pasta, Twisted Club pizza, a Greek Salad as well as a couple desserts. The Rosé was made fresh and served to us piping hot, the pasta was perfectly al dente and very saucy - the roasted chicken in the pasta was great! The Twisted Club pizza was by far the star of our dinner. Roasted chicken as well as pancetta are such a great protein combo, with fresh avocado on the top just added to it. The in-house made lemon pepper aioli brought it all together. The service during our visit was phenomenal. Aiden and Mate did an amazing job at cooking our food, serving us at our table as well as accommodating us throughout our meal. As well, the restaurant itself had great ambience, definitely more than a fast food restaurant- definitely felt more like a sit-in spot for some solid food! Thank you Doughbox Woodbridge (and Aiden & Mate)!
Great pizza. Chicken wings were also very good. Food: the pizza is very good. Toppings are all fresh and the cheese is excellent. They cook it perfectly with a little bit of a crisp. The only downside is that it was a bit heavy on the oil and salt. Otherwise solid pizza. Value: not bad, but a little bit pricey for a single pizza. Overall - 100% recommend giving it a shot
