First visit but it won’t be my last. I was impressed with the service of both beverages and food. Happy hour offered some fine domestic beers at $2.00 off. Wings were on special and they we’re very good, as was the Rueben Sandwich and the Burgers. The pecan tart was delicious and the coffee was good too. The place is welcoming. It’s clean and comfortable.

We came to this place on a random day just passing through the town, but we will definitely be coming back!! Our waitress Alyssa was genuinely one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. The The American House continues to be a reliable staple in our neighbourhood—and this visit reinforced exactly why.
We visited as a group of five on a busy night, and despite the crowd, the service was impressively quick and attentive. Our server, Cam, was outstanding—friendly, proactive, and clearly experienced in managing a full section without missing a beat.
There was a small hiccup with one delayed order, but it was handled immediately and professionally. Cam stepped in right away, kept us informed, and even comped a beverage, which was a thoughtful and appreciated gesture.
We also had a couple of salads that initially came out a bit light on the protein add-ons and cheese, but again, this was corrected quickly and without hesitation. Additional toppings were brought out promptly to ensure the dishes matched what we had ordered.
It’s always a good sign when a place not only delivers consistently, but also handles issues seamlessly when they arise. The American House has been a go-to pub in our area for years, and it continues to not disappoint.
Great service, solid food, and a team that genuinely cares about the customer experience—we’ll definitely be back.
