Visited Outback Steakhouse for the 1st time for a To-go order. The ordering process if you walk into the restaurant is a little confusing. It would be nice if you can order at the bar area but was told I needed to go into a small hallway to place order. Overall the food did come out in a reasonable time. The to-go hostess was very welcoming and helpful. I ordered the blooming fried chicken sandwich with fries. I like that the typical order also had bread included. The fries portion could have been a little bit more and wrapping them in foil only makes them a little soggy. Sandwich breading was decent but the chicken did lack flavor once you had a bite. I like that the breading stayed pretty intact after each bite but the chicken needs some pre-seasoning. The bread was a nice touch with the butter as well. So I would rate them a solid 3 with everything.
I placed a curbside takeout order over the phone, and if I could give the young lady who took my order 10 stars, I absolutely would. Her customer service was exceptional from the moment she answered the phone until she brought my order out to my car. I wish I had gotten her name because she truly deserves recognition, a raise, and so much more. She was incredibly kind and let me know the restaurant was a little busy, so my order might take a little longer. I really appreciated her keeping me informed. I’ve been dealing with a lot over the past few months, and today was just one of those really hard days. I don’t know if she could tell I had just finished crying or not, but when I arrived to pick up my order, she came out to my car, took my payment, and made sure I had everything I needed. She went above and beyond for what could have been just another takeout order, and she genuinely made me feel cared for. Her kindness and attention to detail made a much bigger impact than she probably realizes. You never truly know what someone else is going through, and for me, the compassion she showed in those few minutes was exactly what I needed. So, thank you to the young lady who answered the phone and brought my order out to my car around 1:21 p.m. on July 5th. I sincerely hope this message reaches the right person because she deserves to be recognized for the outstanding customer service she provides. She made a difficult day a little easier, and I’ll always remember that.
Okay, so I was typing the whole experience on the events that happened and my opinion of them..but my phone deleted everything soooo, I am going to just summarize. The good: -The wait for a table- approximately 15 minutes when they told me it would approximately take 25 -/+ minutes. -The atmosphere was neutral, pretty happy all around EXCEPT FOR US and I'll tell you why in a moment. -The Bloomin' Onion tasted o.k and the side salads that we got and it only took about 15 minutes for us to get them. -The waitress understood why we canceled our entrees and gave us the bill on the electronic dock they had. -The bill was only 16.00-/+ BUT that included a FOUR DOLLAR small drink.. The Bad: -The floors were greased and SO slippery like dangerously slippery. -The forgetfulness of our waitress; we had to ask for our drinks and bread and butter. -The Bloomin' Onion filled my mouth with grease as if I took a big sip of grease with a little bit of fried onion. -The waitress that didn't check on us and NEVER TOLD US about how long the wait is for the FOOD we ordered... -We spent over 45 minutes twiddling our thumbs after we already finished the Bloomin' Onion and side salad... THEN at the 45 minute mark we had to ask where our food is and then she broke the news to us... The wait for Entrees is going for about 45-50Minutes... AND WE HAVE ALREADY PASSED THAT MARK! -The Diet Coke I ordered was 4$!!?!
